WE’RE HELPING BUILD POLITICAL CAPACITY THROUGH INCUBATION.

With habits, demography, and updated technologies in constant flux, it is critical for organizations to create, use, and adapt to new ways of engaging communities. At Instituto, we believe that talent and ideas are abundant, so we INCUBATE organizations and solutions that will help build political capacity in places that have historically been under-invested.

We also incubate campaigns FOCUSING ON NEW APPROACHES TO community engagement.

Some of the campaigns we’ve focused on tackle language equity, talent identification, digital engagement, combating misinformation, and more. Our involvement expands from campaign creation, to execution, volunteer recruiting, to reporting the results to a broader movement audience.

PROJECT YUMA

Project Yuma’s mission is to shift decision-making power to those most impacted by social inequities in the Yuma County region. We will build power and capacity with those who have historically been marginalized, building a sustainable movement aimed at long-term political capacity.
Project Yuma’s goal is to incubate permanent organizing infrastructure that develops local leadership and works to build political capacity with those communities most impacted by social inequities. This will happen by identifying stakeholders to serve as hosts of the incubation project, identifying staff members that will be fully employed by the incubation project and sourcing, training, and empowering community leaders that will help build a sustainable political infrastructure in Yuma County.
AQUÍ SE VOTA

A Spanish first campaign that provides Arizonans with the information needed to register themselves, their family, and the community to vote. Provide hands-on, personal, culturally relevant, Spanish-language support for voters in Arizona through Facebook messenger and/or additional digital messaging channels. This project will test conversations with Latinx voters, and use this space to learn more directly about the types of conversations we need to have to increase voter turnout in this community. This project has the potential to support voter outreach programs for Latinx across Arizona and the country.
AZ READY

Arizona (AZ)Ready is an effort led by Arizonans working together to advance progressive issues in the state. We’re a 2020 community-based, volunteer-driven, organizing campaign to get us moving earlier than ever.
