HOW TO USE INSTITUTO’S JOB BOARD

It’s like LinkedIn for Movement Job Seekers and Employers

Looking for a job or posting a job shouldn’t feel like an uphill battle, that’s why Instituto launched a brand-new and improved job board to make the job-finding experience and process easier for job-seekers and/or employers in progressive spaces.

On Instituto’s Job Board, you’ll find new positions from our partner organizations and other organizations within the movement from around Arizona and the country. Our mission is connect jobseekers to work that is moving our communities forward, and make it easy for organizations to recruit passionate jobseekers.  In this blog, we’ll show both job-seekers and employers how to use our new job board.

FOR THE JOB-SEEKERS

We believe we can connect you with your next career. Here’s a how you search for jobs on our website:

STEP 1

There are two ways to access our Job Board web portal. Go to www.instituto.io OR go directly to instituto.io/jobs. Once on the site, click on "JOBS" in the navigation bar. Once on the site, click on "JOBS" in the navigation bar

STEP 2

Once on the homepage, you’ll see all the jobs posted on our job board, and scroll down to see all the organizations that are hiring OR you can search for keywords such as cities names like “Tucson”, job type like “remote”, job role like “operations” or job title like “campaign manager”. Or you can click on the left-hand side bar on the various job types and role types.

STEP 3

When you see a job you are interested in, click on apply, and it will take you to the application link. 


FOR EMPLOYERS POSTING JOBS

Anyone who wants to post a job on our website must have a registered account with Instituto. Registrants are the only ones who can post.

Job postings we ACCEPT:
Positions from partner organizations
Government positions (i.e. school districts, city, state legislature)
Organizations in the infrastructure (advocacy, voting, progressive issues in politics, social justice, etc.)
Paid jobs, fellowships, etc.


Jobs postings we DO NOT ACCEPT:

❌ Volunteer or unpaid fellowships

❌ Animal advocacy organizations
❌ Corporations, small businesses, or for-profit entities
❌ Conservative political organizations

Here’s how you can submit a job:

STEP 1

There are two ways to access our Job Board web portal Go to www.instituto.io and click on "JOBS" in the navigation bar OR go directly to insert direct link.

STEP 2

Click on "sign-up" if this is your first time creating an account to submit a job. If you've already logged in click on "sign-in". 

STEP 3

Input your organization's name, email, password, and organization logo, and click "sign-up". 

STEP 4

Once you're signed up, go to "Post a Job" on the top navigation.

STEP 5

Input the following:

  • job title

  • Job description (keep this short, max 1-2 paragraphs)

  • Job application link 

  • Job's location (city and county)

  • Job type

  • Job role

STEP 6

Then click”submit”.

Once submitted, allow 48 hours for approval before seeing it on our site. All jobs submitted by employers will be either approved or denied by the Instituto staff. Check back to our job board to see if your job was posted by searching your job title in the job title. After approval, your job posting will be live for 60 days until it expires.
