OPEN POSITION: Data Organizer
As a Data Organizer, you’ll lead Instituto’s efforts in identifying and sourcing data talent in the state of Arizona as we prepare for the general election in 2020. An ideal candidate has experience in community organizing and a strong interest in data analysis and reporting.
This position will be based out of CO+HOOTS Coworking in Phoenix, Arizona. The position reports to the Training and Engagement Director.
Identify and recruit data professionals and enthusiasts within tech companies, universities, incubators, and other networks to our program;
Hold multiple 1-on-1 meetings with identified talent and engage around community involvement;
Host monthly events to activate the list of recruited data professionals to volunteer opportunities around the state of Arizona.
At least 2 years of experience in political, non-profit, or community organizing;
Curiosity and passion for data with an entrepreneurial spirit;
Comfortable with public speaking;
Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong project management skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in public engagement work, establishing priorities and meeting project goals.
Strong communication skills including writing and competency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Part-time, temporary role starting October 2019.
